As a photographer living in Alabama, there is always something to do. At 52,419 square miles, Alabama offers unlimited beauty to photograph. From historic landmarks to natural waterfalls, there is never a shortage of sights to see. From trails to hike, wildlife to admire, and sunsets to soak up; there is always places to visit! The Gulf Coast truly is astonishing is so many ways. Not to mention, some of the best seafood you can find anywhere.
Alabama is truly a photographer’s paradise. We have the beautiful beaches in the south, with rolling hills in the north. You could spend a year traveling across our great state and still never see all there is. Big city skylines as well as small town living; Alabama has it all! Oh, did I mention the sunsets? Just WOW! They are truly breathtaking! I imagine that they sunrises are as well, but I tend to not get up early enough to see them, ha!
Do you like history? Well, there is no shortage of it in Alabama. From the USS Alabama Memorial Park in Mobile, AL to the Civil Rights Institute in Birmingham; there is plenty! Also, with all of the small historic sites and landmarks throughout the state, there is never a shortage.
Alabama also offers an abundance of stunningly beautiful waterfalls. One of my personal favorites is Welti Falls in Cullman, AL. Desoto State Park offers quite a few gorgeous waterfalls as well as well as some hiking.
Whether you enjoy the serenity of nature while hiking, or long walks along the beach while poking dead things with a stick, Alabama has it all! I definitely recommend planning a vacation here! As a photographer living in Alabama is rewarding. However, you do not have to be a photographer to enjoy its beauty!
